A usual day trip for Doctor and Clara in the Tardis. Explosions, gas leaks and all sort of weird sounds. Including the bumpy ride which has become for the companion of the Doctor somewhat natural. After all, traveling with a genius in a blue box is not the same as resting by the lake. Much more fun. Even some days of the week are special...

At the moment, Doctor was fixing some sort of engine mechanism while Clara started to walk around being torn apart by the boredom.

"Doctor, aren't we supposed to celebrate today? There's something strange about this day..." Clara asked the man in a suit, face covered in a liquid.

"Really?" Doctor asked in return from a gas of colorful smoke not showing any interest.

"Science Friday! That's it!" Clara exclaimed.

"Science Friday?" The one phrase that got Doctor's attention.

"You know, the one day in the week when you usually explain things about..."

"... Tardis, wormholes and how I am still alive. Yeah, remember that one".

"So, let's get straight to the point, shall we? Tell me about the time before the Big Bang" Clara asked smiling.

"The second Big Bang or the first?" Doctor replied with even a bigger smile.

"There was a secon...?"

"Nevermind, first one is much more fun. I'll tell you the story if you promise not to tell anyone else except for me, in case I forgot, lost my memory, became another person and so on."

"Why would I. No one cares about geek stuff. They wouldn't even believe me that a time traveler told me this."

"Hey, geeks are cool. Like bowties. For your information, Time Lords have emotions too " For a second, he looked even more geeky, but instantly returned to his classy nerdy mode. "Returning to our subject. Time. I don't recall if I have ever explained you what time really is. I guess not. So, Time is not a strict progression from couse to event. It is not linear, it's more a big ball of Wibbly Wobbly Timey Wimey... Stuff".

"Ok, Iet's say I know what the time is. But what of it before the Universe"? Clara asked sitting on an object which could be mistaken for a chair, but was more like an engine part.

Doctor nervously checked one the reports on the screen and returned to his work looking unnaturally calm.

"Well, the beginning of the Time, as the Humans, Time Lords and many other intellingent species predict, is the Big Bang. Before it, there was no such thing Time. Well, it was, but not like this one. Some say that before the Big Bang there was another universe, like ours, with another timeline and all boring stuff. Which eventually collapsed into a singularium - an object of an infinite density, an extremely powerful black hole. Theoreticaly, no one could survive that state because there were no molecules, no atoms, not baryons, no fermions. Pure energy."

It was so quite in the blue box that it seemed that even the machine started listening to the Doctor. He was explaining theories. Those fascinated him, made his wander around like child's.

"Aha, so there was nobody there before the Big Bang. How boring" Clara yawned as it was getting dark in one of the Moons of Saturn. But the Doctor was still smiling.

"What is it? Did I miss something again?" Clara looked at him, trying to figure the secret he was hidding from her.

"Nah, you couldn't have. But returning to our subject, there's something else I haven't mentioned" The Doctor grinned like a little boy who had just found a candy.

"Isn't that a surprise?"
