A/N: a Calvin and Susie Fanfiction

Disclaimer: I do not own Calvin and Hobbes that, unfortunately, belong to Bill Watterson.

"What do you mean, you have to invite me to dinner!" cried Calvin, a small six year old with spiky blond hair and brown eyes. Susie a small six-year-old girl with brown hair and warm brown eyes, looked at him with annoyance, and said, "Don't ask me, my parents wanted you and your family to come since we are neighbors and all."

"But we hate each other!" Calvin cried again, his arms rose in the air in exuberance, Susie nodded in agreement but said, "We hate each other Calvin, not our parents."

Calvin only groaned, why oh why did this female have to come and be his neighbor? Why couldn't it have been an alien or dinosaur? Calvin crossed his arms, deep in thought, Susie waiting patiently for his answer, "Fine I'll come, but only because my parents will make me."

Susie looked at him for a moment and then said "Fine, I really don't care, as long you don't destroy my house" Calvin only shrugged and said "is it okay if I bring Hobbes with me?"

Susie shook her head, "no its fine if you bring you r stuffed tiger, my parents don't mind" Calvin smiled warmly, shocking Susie for a moment. Calvin's smile would usually be mischievous or grim, but this smile was different it was as if he was really smiling, it changed his normally shrewd face into one full of warmth and kindness.

Susie blinked, the spell, gone and Calvin again was that maniacal six-year-old boy who tormented her and threw snowballs in the winter. Calvin opened his mouth and said, "Cool, make sure you have lots of tuna in you r house!" and he walked away.

Susie only rolled her eyes, despite the smile, Calvin will always be that boy that she hated…. but at the moment he didn't seem to be too bad.
