Chapter 1
"Manny, wait up!"
The beautiful girl turned around, her black shinning hair flying until her back.
"JT, you're gonna make me late." she said, sticking her books closer to her body.
The boy ran to her and stopped in front of her, putting his hands on his knees, trying to catch back his breath.
"Do... you... still have tickets left?" he succeeded to ask.
Manny licked her lips and shook her head.
"Sorry, I just sold the last ones I had." she appologized. "Now excuse me I really have to leave. Someone is waiting for me."
Manny turned around and started walking when JT called her name again.
"JT, haven't you heard me? I'll be late." Manny answered, getting angry.
"I just wanted to know who did you sell the last tickets to?"
"I think it was Peter, now excuse me, I need to leave."
Manny roughly turned around, her hair moving on her back and pushed the school's door. JT looked behind him, trying to find out where Peter could be. A blond head suddenly appeared and turned the corner. JT took half a second to realize who it was and started running again.
"Peter!"
The boy moved his deep glance in JT's direction and frowned.
"Manny said you're the one who bought the last tickets for tomorrow's Simple Plan show?"
Peter ignored his question and kept frowning.
"I don't see how it is any of your business." Peter said in a rude way.
"I'm ready to buy a ticket twice the price."
Peter's mind ran fast, analyzing the proposition. He had planned to keep this ticket, hoping Emma would go with him. Money was interesting, but he didn't feel like it was really worth next to a date with a blonde bombshell.
"No, sorry." he simply replied, leaving.
"Wait." JT said, walking by his side. "You should really think about it. I've been dying to see their show in a while. And that's a lot of money."
No matter how hard JT was trying to convince him, Peter highly doubted it could actually work. Emma was priceless. As she was crossing his mind, she also walked quickly in front of her. She seemed to be in a hurry and her arms brushed Peter's who grabbed it before it was out of reach.
"Emma!"
The girl jumped and turned around, putting her hand on her chest.
"You scared me!" she said with a smile.
"Sorry." Peter said with a shy smile. "I just wanted to ask you if you wanted to come to the concert with me tomorrow."
Emma stayed speechless, trying to find something to answer as JT watched the scene with amusement.
"I bought you a ticket." Peter added, showing the piece of paper in his hand.
"That's really sweet." Emma answered, feeling really uncomfortable. "But you see, I already have my own ticket."
Peter let his arm fall on his side, the ticket still in hand. "Oh." he simply let out.
"But thanks anyway, that's a very sweet attention."
Peter couldn't believe Emma had forgotten about him so quick. Perhaps, she was not the good girl for him...
"So now." JT said, taking Peter out of his thoughts.
He looked at the persevering boy who was smiling at him.
"I guess you can sell it to me." JT added.
Peter sighed.
"You are not my idea of a perfect date." he admited.
"You are not either. But it's better than not going at all, right?"
