Young Epiphron was born to Mother Night and Father Darkness; he was one of their youngest sons, impetuous, but careful and shrewd. He had many lovers and wooed many Goddesses and Nymphs, such as Aletheia "Truth, Good Faith", Arete "Virtue", Paregoros "Soothing Words", Pistis "Trust" and Sophrosyne "Moderation"; yet he took none as his bride.

The maiden Pandia was born to Moon and to the King of the Gods, and she the loveliest of the deathless Gods. She was pursued by many wooers, wanting to make her for a bride, such as Agon "Struggle", Gelus "Laughter", Kratos "Strength", Hedylogos "Sweet-talk", Pothus "Sexual Desire"; yet she accepted none as her husband.

When brown-haired Pandia was dancing in a sacred spring covered with weeping willows, dark-haired Epiphron was hunting a Leucrota in its vicinity. The beast came upon the grove and spotted the young Goddess and it wanted to devour her whole; so the Leucrota made its voice sound like that of small child crying, to lure the maiden into it. Pandia heard the crying child and went to see why a child was crying in her sacred grove; while Epiphron was searching for the evil beast to slay it after it ravaged a group of travelers that were devoted to him.

The Goddess called out to whoever cried, yet none responded to her call, but the young God heard her sweet voice from afar and suddenly knew the evil intentions of the Leucrota, and so he ran to rescue this unknown maiden. As golden-eyed Pandia approached the mysterious voice she came upon clearing deep in the woods, and there the Leucrota showed itself, ready to attack her. The shrewd God called upon the Oneiroi to sleep the maid from the sight of the creature, and so she fell into a deep slumber onto ground, leaving the Leucrota dumbfound, yet hungry for her blood. But when it was about to leap at her dormant body, dark-eyed Epiphron appeared and severed the evil creature's head with his golden sword; and there in the clearing he came upon the sleeping Goddess, and he knew he could love no other but the maiden before him. And so Epiphron awoke Pandia from her sound sleep with a deep and tender kiss upon her lips. When she opened her eyes, she saw the handsome God and she knew her heart now belonged to this youth.

Afterwards, they were wedded to one another, and a great feast has held to their honor by all the Gods, never was there a couple more happy and true in all the Four Worlds, the Heavens, the Seas, the Underworld and Earth. They had one son, Storgos, and he was the God of Family Love, and he took Hedone "Pleasure" as his bride, she was the daughter of the Eros "Love" and Psyche "Soul".
