CHAPTER ONE

She shook on the sofa, vibrating violently without sound. She opened her mouth, but instead of words, glittery grey mist wafted out.

Suddenly she sat, back straight. Her previously tightly shut eyes flew open, showing no pupils. Instead, her eyes glowed vibrantly, one fully black, one purely white, both shimmering. Her mouth chanted, seemingly of its own accord, "Potens magicae, potens mysticis. Medium, medium, tenebris, lux. Imperium, imperium, imperium." Her lips snapped shut, and her hair began to levitate while small bolts of lightning crackled and coursed through her wild brown locks.

As quickly as it came, it went. The lightning died out. Her eyes dropped shut. She collapsed onto the sofa.

As her parents, who were standing fearfully to one side, rushed to her and found her unconscious, they glanced at one another. The father nodded and rushed off to his daughter's room, searching for the two-way journal that connected to Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore. They knew the Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry was the go-to man for strange magical occurrences.

What Natalie and Mark did not know is that the same thing that just happened to Hermione Granger, just happened to a certain Malfoy heir in Wiltshire, England.
