Just a little bit of poetry I wrote about a fanfiction idea I had. In the story things go a bit better... Oh well.
The Death of the Dawn
Howling, the storm gales
The rain is clear in the night
From the alley, the woman wails
The teen decides to do what's right
And she walks into the gloom
She cannot see a thing
But she gets her weapon ready
Then the woman begins to sing
Saying that the teen is her key
And how the key has sealed its doom
"You will bring my darling boy to me,"
Says the mad woman with a purr
"You, sweet sunrise, are the Key."
And with that, she pulls the girl to her
The weapon clatters to the ground
The girl tries to scream
The woman closes her lips
"Shush, Key, shh my glowing light beam,"
The girl tries to call again, but the woman tightens her grip
So the girl can no longer make a sound
The woman's face begins to transform
The girl shuts her eyes in fear
She realizes that any screams would be drowned out by the storm
The rain that soaks her clothes disguises the lone tear
As the vampire lowers her head to the girl's neck, all of her hope is gone
The fangs slowly pierce her neck
And the girl whimpers in pain
She doesn't want to die, though her life is a wreck
But she feels her life slip from her, and soon is slain
And that is how it went: The death of the Dawn.
I didn't make it perfectly clear, but the vampire was Drusilla. She's crazy, and that's how she knows that Dawn is the Key. Plus, she's a psychic, which helps. So, what do you think? Good? Bad? Okay? Please review it. I know that I'm not the most awesome poet in the world, but hey; I guess I'm following in the footsteps of Dru's darling boy, Mr. Bloody. :) Say hello to Danni the Bloody Awful Poet!
Please review!
