In the end I was unable to find words. Words that escape use and hide from my tongue. The kind of words that needed to be said. Words that had nothing to do with the letter 'm'. Well…one…'mine' It was an 'm' word and one that I had been thinking of entirely too long. The words had left and now she has too. Not that it much matters, Even if I was able to find the words. Or to find an expression they would not be worthy of her. My sweet Alice, Her sunshine hair and stubborn looks. She said she would be back. Promised she would be back. That was a while ago. at first tea was a pleasant distraction. now nothing could fill this curious hole in my chest. The one that ached when I thought of her. Almost as if the bandersnatch itself caught me with its claws. Oh curious was this feeling, this unpleasant distraction. He wasn't coming back..no..of course she wouldn't. no reason to come back. None at all. She was greater than us all, the great slayer of the jabberwocky. No reason to come back and keep those nasty thoughts of mine away from tea time. No reason.
