As much as Alexis loved and thought highly of her father and yes mother him at times, there were touchy subjects that there is no way she would be able to talk to him about like dating for one.
When the time arose that she needed some to talk she knew who to talk to (beside her grandmother of course); that person was NYPD Detective Kate Beckett.
She admired Detective Beckett from the very first time her dad introduced her; her admiration grew to them becoming inseparable.
As she was finishing up her homework she heard a song come on the stereo and she took the time to reflect.

As the song came to an end she realized something else. It had been awhile since she had one-on-one girl time with her; she gave Kate a call.
"Beckett," answered Kate on the second ring.
"Hey Kate it's Alexis.
"Hey Alexis, what's going on?"
"I was wondering if you would like to meet up for some girl time?"
"Sure, would you like me to come pick you up now?"
"That would be great!" exclaimed
"I will see you in fifteen."
Alexis disconnected the call and smiled as she got ready.
