(Ed/Al brotherly fluff)

"Brother... brother." Whispered the outline of Alphonse.

"Grrrmmm..." Ed grumbled into his pillow.

"Brother, get up!" Al hissed louder. He looked over his shoulder at the window, grinning ear to ear.

Ed rolled over lazily. He looked at Al's blurry form and sighed, rubbing his large orbs with tiny fists. "What do ya want, Al? I'm trying to sleep."

"I heard Santa, Ed!" Al said, not trying hard enough to keep the excitement from his voice.

"Shh. You'll wake mom." Ed frowned, pushing himself up. "Now, what?"

"Santa! I heard him." Al said, trying to lower his voice. He couldn't help but hop in place.

Ed raised an eyebrow. "Al...you're crazy. You know there's no such thing as Santa. Mom only told us that so we'd behave."

"No, Ed..." Al sighed with agitation. "Look." he pulled his shorter, but older, brother up from the bed.
"Listen." Alphonse said, standing by the window. Outside was the very faint outline of pink over the grassy hills.
Ed hesitated, about to protest...then he found what Al was talking about. Sleigh bells. They were faint, but he could hear them.

"What...?" Ed wondered, looking out into their dark yard. There was merely their mailbox and tire swing...but then he looked to the road. A tiny black figure in the shape of a fat man and a sleigh. It appeared to be pulled by animals of some kind...
"It's too dark, I can't see." Ed whispered.

"Come on, Ed!" Al yelled, already at the door. He seemed to have forgotten about their mother.

By the time they got outside, to their disappointment...or mainly Al's, the sleigh was already gone as well as the sleigh bells.
"Eh...who knows? the bells and figure coulda just been some farmer getting an early start." Ed said, trying to find a logical explanation for it all.

"Yeah...probably." Al couldn't help but look at the ground sadly.

"What's all the noise, boys?" their mother asked.

Al turned around and dug his face into her side.

"Alphonse, what's wrong?" the green eyed woman asked with concern, placing her hands on his shoulders.

He was about to answer, when something cold touched his neck.

"Hey, look." Ed said, pointing to the sky.

It was snow.

"But..." Al sniffed. "It never snows here..."

Though Ed didn't believe himself, he didn't like seeing his only brother cry. Definiately not on Christmas. He shot him a sheepish grin. "Well..." He turned to his younger brother. "There's your Christmas miracle, Al. Guess it really was Santa Clause."

Al blinked, standing besides his mother as she ruffled his hair. His tears stopped and he broke into a smile.

"Merry Christmas, Ed!" Al launched himself at Edward in a hug.
"You too, Al."
