[not really waiting at all, of course]

her heart breaks
just a little;
(not a lot)
a small piece is
pulled off
and s/h\a/t\t/e\r/e\d

finally comes,
it's truly
worth the wait
[not that she was bothered]
because just the
sight of his smile
makes everything
right
