Since you all replied and boosted my confidence so far up I am writing again. This one I thought I'd try to elaborate on the love and joy that filled Kenshin and then how miserable he was when it was all torn away after Tomoe died. But just to be safe…no I don't own any RK characters but it is a pretty cool show. Okay here we go and enjoy.
A Heart's Journey
After so many years of mourning
A soul has finally been saved.
A brand new era for this man is dawning
And his heart is finally set free.
His reign of terror across the land had finally come to an end.
His heart fills with joy equaled by no other
The love of his life is a god send.
And perhaps becoming a mother.
They spent many and night together,
Holding each other tight.
But this new found joy I'm sad to say
Will vanish overnight.
When he wakes she's no longer be there.
He'll be quite alone.
He'll search the house as quick as he can
But she is no longer home.
His search falls across strewn pages
Of a journal kept by his love.
But when he reads her forbidden words
He slips out of joys glove.
His heart will be shattered
His eyes will tear.
And as the book falls to the ground
His scar bleeds, his greatest fear.
With a heavy weight bared in his chest
He marches down the road
Hoping he will find her.
So that she can save his soul.
But sadly he'll arrive too late
To take his lover's hand.
He'll lose her loving touch and light.
His soul dies by her hand.
He'll hold her till it hurts so bad
That he can barely stand it.
And as he watches his home burn down
His hearts handed back by the bandit.
He swears on his pain
That he will end the war.
That he will help other men
To suffer no more.
But even as he completes his quest
I'm afraid that I must say…
That the awful, horrible, soul-eating pain…
Will never go away….
