Never See Each Other Again
*Van's POV*
I see her fall and fear the worst
I frantically call her name
Cause I know if she died today
My life just wouldn't be the same
I rip off my shirt and jump after her
The wind around me does blow
I feel the heat rise in my back
As white wings start to grow
I barely feel the pain as the emerge
My thoughts are of Hitomi
First one comes out followed by the other
An angel I appear to be
I continue to dive as fast as I can
Her form in the great abyss
I clasp her hand and slow her fall
I wish, to her lips I could kiss
*Hitomi's POV*
The ground opens up and I lose my grip
The surface fades away
I cover my head in my hands
My death had come today
I then see Van leap from Escaflowne
As I fall deeper in the crevice
A bright light shines in my eyes
The winds blow with a hiss
When I open my eyes an angel I see
At first my vision was of Allen
But then I saw it was Van all along
The angel he has always been
He dives after me, wings at his sides
His hand reaches out to mine
I stare at him with eyes of Wonder
Our hands meet and everything's fine
*Both*
We're together again, we've beaten fate
Against what could've been
Cause we couldn't live if we knew
We'd never see each other again
