Blake ran through the Naga Wasteland, sick and tired of scrapping with the snaky women that infested this awful place. Bad enough they were half-serpents, but their high jumps and tracing beam attacks could hit Blake from almost anywhere. She'd run short on Pike Balls and other defensive items, and she hadn't purchased any attack implements.
The cheapskate at the Scuttle Town shop had depleted all her gems, and the Dance Parlor had been closed when she left town.
Dust, it was a long way to Oasis Town. She couldn't wait to see Yang and her warbirds, and she hoped she'd be there before night fell again.
The beasts of Sequin Land became stronger and more tedious under cover of the night, and Blake's incredible hair whip could only damage them so much.
Soon she would reach the Ladies' Desert, complete with such horrors as humanoid scorpions. It was a bit of luck that the females of the species were not as volatile as their disgusting male counterparts. OOH, A LADDER!
Blake climbed down the ladder to find a new underground path, swatting at an awful bat as it came to attack her. The bats were a real nuisance, and Blake whipped her hair at them every chance she got.
Making her way through the path and climbing a new ladder, she found herself in the Ladies' Desert. Hopping over cacti and lady scorpions, she fought through the unforgiving landscape with her hair whip and her magic belly dances. Turning into a monkey was undeniably useful, but Blake hoped she would learn a cooler transformation dance from the next Genie she crossed.
Being a half-genie was tough, but not nearly as hard as being the only hero this whole land knew. Sun tried, but his wits were not quite about him. He made an excellent sparring partner though, with his ball-and-chain maces and durability.
She already missed Water Town. Collecting fireflies by night reminded her of the quiet little place. No time for those thoughts now, though.
Oasis Town stood before her, the home of the Gecko Chamber where gamblers the world over wasted their gems. More importantly, her friend Yang lived here with the warbirds she raised.
"So, you've made it here, Genie. What can I help you with?" The blonde girl asked her, tossing back the hood over her head. It was unbearably hot in Oasis Town, seeing as it was in the dead center of a desert, so Yang wore a small hooded top with pink and blue and purple sprawled across it. She'd tied a towel around her waist to keep cool, taking care to ensure that her underpinnings were not showing.
Blake's small top and flower pants were too much for this heat, but she didn't have much else to wear. Her Fighter's Sash would keep her warm if she needed, but it would be of no benefit in these warmer temperatures.
"I'm trying to find the next Stone before Taurus the Pirate gets his filthy mitts on it!"
"Well, there's a labyrinth in the desert. I believe it's called the Golem Mine. I can send Grimm to show you the way. But follow him close, as he will leave you!"
"CAAAAAWW!" Grimm, the purple and pink warbird cried, flying out of the hatchery and into the open sky.
"He said it was in the Men's Desert! Be careful of the male scorpions, I hear they like to get stabby." Yang informed as Blake thanked her and danced out the door.
A letter dropped from the ceiling. Yang inspected it. "A zombie named Ruby knows something about the next Stone? Hmm, I'll get Grimm to bring this to Blake when he returns..."

((A/N: This was admittedly a terrible choice for a crossover, but I love Shantae dearly, so yeah.))
