Ianto liked tidying and cleaning. It helped him concentrate, it helped him think things through, it helped him relax.

But today it wasn't working. Probably because of Captain Jack Harkness's presence in Ianto's flat. He was so not used to having someone home, in his very own bed...

He remembered having been taken aback the previous night when Jack had invited himself in here; usually they just stayed at the Hub, and slept in Jack's room. Well, he slept at least, since Jack didn't need to. Anyway, the captain had taken advantage of Ianto's stunned silence and now he was having breakfast in the kitchen.

Ianto could hear Jack sing some old-fashioned tune all the way from the bathroom where he was trying to finish cleaning the sink. Alright, where he was in fact hiding. From what? From Jack? That was stupid.

He sighed and put away the cleaning products into a cupboard. A loud knock on the door made him jump and he hesitated a few moments on whether he should open it or not.

"Ianto? What are you doing in there? If it's what I'm thinking of, I can give you a hand you know!" Jack exclaimed.
"Why do you always have to be cocky, Jack?" Ianto wearily replied before opening the door.
"Because I am cocky!" Jack answered with a salacious smile.
"Now you're just being rude."
"I don't remember you complaining about my manners last night..." Jack said while bringing the younger man closer to him.

Ianto couldn't help but laugh and gave in to the embrace. Before he knew it, he found himself kissing Jack, tasting the coffee flavour that lingered in his mouth.

Maybe cleaning wasn't working today because he had found another way to release the pressure and feel good about himself. Maybe having a relationship with Jack wasn't something he had to hide from.
