It was about a week after Misaki had first moved in with Akihiko. He had been in the kitchen, doing dishes, and Akihiko had been on, the couch reading, when the fitst rawr of thunder was heard.
Akihiko yelped, and jumped three feet in the air. Misaki saw this and raised an eyebrow, while Akihiko tried to act like nothing happened, when the next one hit.
Akihiko jumped, again.
"What's your problem?" Misaki asked.
"I don't know what you're talki-" he was cut off my more thunder, as he jumped, again.
"You expect me to believe that you are afraid of thunder storms? You?" Misaki shook his head. "No way I'm falling for it. This is just another trap. Just like when you lay on the couch and pretend to be asleep."
The older man jumped again as the storm picked up even more.
Misaki's eyes went wide. "You're serious, aren't you?" Misaki bit his lip. "Promise you won't attack me?"
Akihiko said nothing, just trembling.
Misaki, hesitantly, walked over and wrapped his arms around Akihiko's chest. Another roll of thunder was heard outside. Akihiko threw his arms around Misaki, and buried his face in the boy's brown hair. Misaki lead the older man to the couch, so they could lay down.
Akihiko clung to Misaki, as the boy gently rubbed his back and whispered soothing words.
Not much later, Usami fell asleep in Misaki's arms. Knowing he couldn't carry him, and not wanting to wake him, or him to wake up alone, he simply snuggled into his chest, knowing he would deny everything in the morning.
