No More Words
--------------------
The words, we speak are common and usual,
But they truly hold a deeper meaning.
Not only do they create a visual,
But they bind and express that feeling –
That feeling – of love, anger, and sorrow;
What we feel everyday from the heart.
In order to let it out, we borrow
The words - just valuable from the start.
Words we say, can mean something tremendous –
Words we say, can mean something quite hurtful –
Words we say, can mean something horrendous –
Words we say, can mean something quite deathful.
What should I say to you now? I can't say…
I just can't say anything of my size;
What should I say to you now? I will pray…
Pray that someday, that I won't deal in lies.
This is al that I can say, enough, this time,
Since all my words are powerless against time.
Commentary: It is your decision to interpret this poem as well. You may choose your own character that is in this current state, or you can simply read it and reflect upon this. Some lines were taken from the English translation of Ayumi Hamasaki's song, "No More Words".
