Legends are story's about places things and people most are made up but some are true the forerunners are one such legend a race that lived long ago but were destroyed by a parasite called the flood it wiped out the forerunners world by world in one last effort to destroy the flood by building halo rings that destroyed all sentient life the forerunners needed to get rid of there food source
the forerunners were not the only ones that the flood attacked humans that lived before our time before the rings fired fought the flood and the forerunners nearing defeat the forerunners fired the halo rings wiping out everything taking precautions the forerunners stored DNA of every living being in the galaxy sentinels built by the forerunners restored life
unfortunately the flood survived and were discovered by humans and covenant when the master chief released them on alpha halo humans and covenant fought them on alpha halo delta halo high charity earth and the ark thinking they were dead the humans and the species the broke off from the covenant continued fighting the covenant but the flood survived on and undiscovered halo soon the flood will be released by the unfortunate crew of the unsc paris class red October
