Disclaimer: I don't own anything Naruto whatsoever. Wah...

"Naruto-kun!" Sakura cried, wrapping her arms around his neck like she'd never let go. Her breaths came out in pure white puffs against the late December air.

Naruto hugged her back, trying not to let his own eyes water, surprised that she was able to hold back her own.

"Sakura-san," he said, wrenching his eyes shut and trying not to think of what happens when he let go.

But Sakura finally loosened her embrace, taking a step back with glassy eyes.

"Naruto-kun...I'll miss you..." she said, managing a smile and then looking up to the huge ship next to them, waiting for Naruto to board and be on his way.

"I'll miss you too, little sis," he said, reminding her of their bond. They had gotten so close in those last few years. Just like siblings.

"Good-bye Naruto-kun...be safe on your mission, kay?" she said,as a man at the top of the ship hung over the railing and called to Naruto.

"One minute, sensei." He turned back to Sakura and sighed."Look,I'll be back in just a few months. I'll be all right, okay?"

Sakura's smile faded and hurt hid itself in her features."Naruto-kun..."

"I love you like a sister. I'll miss you like one, too. Be strong. For me."

She took a deep, shuddering breath, white and cloudy. "Okay," she breathed, and embraced him once more.

"Goodbye,Sakura-san," he said, and took off up the boarding strip.f

Sakura ran up the dock and waved.

Sasuke was not far behind her, breath twisting around in the air, being carried away by the wind.

"Be careful,Naruto!" Sakura yelled as the ship pulled off.

Naruto waved back, heart already missing his little sister.

"I'll be back before you know it!" he assured her."I promise!"

Sakura's hand stood still in the air. Naruto-kun...be safe...

Sasuke walked up beside her, looking at the departing friend.

Sakura looked over to him and dropped her hand.

"Sasuke...hey."

"Hello,Sakura-san," he said, finally making eye contact with her.

"Hey..." she said again, turning and leaving.

"Wait up," he said,following her.

"I don't wanna talk right now," she said, eyes pointed at her own shoes.

"Why not?"

"I don't know...I feel like half of me is leaving with Naruto...I'm sure gonna miss him...he was my big brother..."

"I see..."

"Do you?" she said rather coldly, speeding past him.

"Oh-..." he hurried to catch up to her.

"What do you want?" she asked, still not looking up.

"Company. It's a cold night. I could walk you home." he said.

"I don't care," she said, feeling more depressed with a parasite lagging onto her.

"Sakura,what's wrong?"

"Naruto's gone..."

"Hmm..."

"What?" she said, slightly agitated but feeling her mood leave with the time she spent with Sasuke at her side.

Sakura had hesitated at his statement, looking inquisitively to him.

Sasuke quickly took the oppurtunity and grabbed her by the shoulders.

"Sasuke?! What are you-" she couldn't speak except through her nose,as her lips were occupied by his.

At first she wanted to pull away, instinct, but his intoxicating eyes, even though they were closed, and his incredible kissing abilities kept her drawn to him.

She closed her eyes and couldn't believe she actually liked his touch. Liked him. In a way differently from what she thought. All thought abandoned her as the shock and euphoria of her first kiss dawned on her.

Then he took her hands and intertwined their fingers, still locked in place.

Finally he pulled back and looked into her emerald orbs.

"Do you still miss Naruto?" he asked her,who was still half-intoxicated.

Dazed, she squinted at him with drunk eyes, confused.

"Naruto who?"
