Unrequited Love.
Random fic about Rose's POV on Daisy and Blane's relationship as it grows throughout the years.
I can remember when I first met Daisy and Blane. Blane was nice at first but Daisy was more hostile. Course she would be. The popular girl being nice the geeky science nerd? Unheard of. Though she became nicer to be as soon as she got to know me. One time when she was hit with the truth serum she admitted I was her one true friend, one that she could trust and I was quite happy.
But when I first met them it wasn't whether they were nice to me or not that I noticed to begin with. I saw that they constantly bickered. Some serious sexual tension those two had. Underneath the arguing I saw that Blane always sneaked glances at Daisy when she wasn't looking and she the same. It's practically written in the stars about how much they should be together but there's always stuff in the way. Things like the criminals we've got to fight. Computer hackers. Stewart.
Yes you did hear me right, Stewart. He took a shine to Daisy as he thought she looked like some animated character in one of his video games, and Blane was obviously actually blasé about the whole thing as usual. I mean a couple of missions later or so he got jealous as she got with some American Hero wannabe guy. Chad Turner. CIA. So jealous he put on a MT3000 knowing the dangers and with just the goal of impressing Daisy and upstaging Chad.
He got what he wanted, even though he almost short circuited after he tried to stop using the device. Daisy was halfway through admitting her feelings for Blane, when Lenny hit her with the antidote. You could tell Blane was hurt when she told him she liked Stewart over him. Obviously it wasn't true or anything but his face was written with pain and stared at her, longing her to tell him the truth. But it's Daisy. She's got problems with her parents not being their for her and finds it hard to admit to her real feelings. But when he found her after she was drained of all her energy by Maximus Fiticus he told her she had said 'he thinks I don't like him, but he's actually quite buff' she was talking about Blane.
Blane eventually moves on from his first love to Irena Ryfield. The romance, if it could be called that doesn't last long and Daisy shows a hint of jealousy. Blane shouldn't have given up on her in the first place but he did.
Five years on and we're eighteen receiving awards at the annual MI 9 Ceremony. Blane and Daisy for their work in Monte Carlo and me for Scientific breakthroughs. It's a good night until Blane gets annoyed for some reason and punches the lights out of Daisy's date, a former colleague of mine Oscar. They argue and cause a huge commotion I would laugh at them finally getting it together but they're not. They are arguing.
LOUDLY.
'WHAT THE HELL BLANE?' Daisy shouts, not caring about the other agents all turning to watch them.
'WHY HIM?' He shouts in turn.
'YOU'RE ACTING LIKE A CHILD!'
'I LOVE YOU, DON'T YOU GET IT YOU DUMB BIMBO?' he shouts. I allow myself to smile at this, but Daisy's not swayed and slaps him.
'REALLY, YOU TELL YOU LOVE ME AND THEN YOU INSULT ME!'
After the big drama, I spot them making out in the entrance to the bathrooms.
Five years.
That's how long it took for them to get together, even if they had to disturb an MI 9 function to do it.
Three Years later, I receive an invitation to their wedding.
I look at it and smile wishing I could have what they have with the man of my dreams somedays. They're a very combustible pairing but it's based on pure love and years of want and longing. Now they're just making up for lost time.
Please R&R.. Not sure if I should write more One Shots!
