Chapter 1

"Cassidy, are we lost?" Cassidy looked up to the gray sky then down to the snow covering his feet. He didn't know how to tell his girlfriend. He stumbled over his words, "uh...yea I think so." "Oh great," she huffed and shuddered a bit from the cold. Snow beginning to fall again. "Wonderful," Cassidy steamed. "We've got to find shelter." "Where?" The trees all white, the snow up to their ankles. In the haze they saw a building..no. "Oh dear God Cassidy, it's a hotel,"Lacy screeched. They began to walk toward the shelter. It seemed forever. "Well..Cassidy we're almost there." She turned around, no Cassidy. "Casi?" No answer, just rough eery wind. Horror bitter sweet in her mouth, adrenaline shot through her legs. "CASSIDY," she screamed. She decided to go back for him, if she didn't die trying. Lacy didn't know how long she had been walking. Miles or even inches. Then faint mumbling. "Cassidy?" In the far corner behind a tree, she saw an arm. Lacy ran over, behind the tree and almost died. Cassidy was down, heavy bleeding from his stomach, and from the mouth. "Oh my God, did some animal get to you?" He shook his head, then his eyes grew wide. "Cassidy?" She turned around, a large figure. Monestrous smile upon it's lips, arms over it's head then brought them down. The last thing Lacy saw.
