(A/N- I'm writing this story currently in Graphics Art to cure boredom, so this will probably be a one shot and probably not my best work, but I still hope you enjoy anyhow!)
The two blades collided with much force, with both boys trying to weaken one another- but the two seemed evenly matched. The power struggle lasted for what seemed like forever, until Snake Eyes brought down Storm Shadow's sword, causing Storm Shadow to fall, (A/N- I know in the movie Snake Eyes didn't beat Storm Shadow with a sword, but in my story he does! :D) and Snake Eyes could not stop the smile from stretching across his sweat-covered face, and a wave of triumph crash over him as he finally beat the one person who has beat him countless times.
'I. Was. Beaten. Me, Storm Shadow! By Snake Eyes? How could this have happened? True, Snake Eyes is one of the better students Master has trained- but he was still no match for me! Ugh, look at the stupid grin! You beat me once, big deal. I have beaten you well over 1,000 times. What's this? Master is clapping for him? Master has never shown me any praise like that! What makes this stupid, insignificant fool special? '
Storm Shadow gave both people a hatred- filled look and stormed off, not that either of them noticed. 'Something must be done', Storm Shadow thought to himself. Then, suddenly, a idea popped into his head. An evil, cynical thought. But in Storm Shadow's mind, it was brilliant. He then stopped walking to his room and changed direction, toward the weapon room.
'It must be done, there is no other choice. The stupid man has lost his mind, choosing the favor Snake Eyes over me. Must I remind him I beat Snake Eyes more times than his dull mind can remember? Well then, no matter, the bastard will be dead by tomorrow morning. And by my hand!'
The place was quiet. The only sound in the academy was the Grand Master stepping down the many steps from his room down to the training grounds. The sun had just risen about 20 minutes earlier, and everyone but the Master was just getting up. Or, that is what the old man thought. However, Storm Shadow was well awake, hiding behind a statue and holding a sharp sword so tightly that his knuckles were white- waiting to kill the very man that took him in as a son.
The Master slowly proceeded down the marble steps, unknowingly walking to his death. He was very elderly and was virtually no match for someone as young and energetic as Storm Shadow- despite his lifetime of martial arts training.
'Now is the time, there is no turning back- even if I wanted to. Even though Master is an elderly man, he has astounding hearing, and would hear me running away. He is right in front of me, now I must do it.'
And with that thought, the young boy took a deep breath and ran toward the old man, making sure not to make a sound- he didn't want anyone hearing him. And at that moment, the sword plunged into the elderly man's back- and he let out a groan of pain and crumpled to the marble floor. Then, as if almost instantly, bells rang and people started rushing out of every building to the scene, causing Storm Shadow to flee the scene.
But as he started to run, he felt a weak hand grab his ankle, and Storm Shadow instintively turned to see who it was. It was his Master. Storm Shadow caught his Master's eyes, which were starting to lose their twinkle, and he saw as the dying man said very quietly, "How... could... yo-But he couldnt finish his sentence before he slumped lifelessly against the step, his eyes wide open. He was dead.
'I did it. The deed is done. I killed the man who betrayed me.'
And with that thought, Storm Shadow smiled- and ran for dear life- never looking back.
(A/N- as I said before this is a one shot, and I didn't put much effort in it- however what do you think? Thanks!)
