Lord Sesshomaru
He was emotionless. He was cruel, cold, heartless. He was a killer, a demon...a lord. He showed no emotions, felt nothing within his cold heart. He allowed no weaknesses in his person, allowed no advantages for his opponents. He was powerful...strong! His name was feared, his title known through all of Japan. He was the greatest of the great. Humans knew their places before him, lesser demons knew better than to approach.
He gazed down upon the vast and busy village under him as he stood upon the hill, his form hidden in the shadows of the forest of trees that lay mere inches behind him. He narrowed his eyes.
He was a pure-blood. He despised humans, hated them with a passion, scorned the thought of a demon and human bond. He felt his being lurch at the thought of forming a weak half-breed, such as his brother...half brother. He killed humans as Game, slaughtered them in his anger and spite against their kind. He was the king of the most beautiful lands, of the purest waters, and of the strongest beings and armies. He would build his Empire, a great Empire. He would wipe out all of the weak demons and all of the human spieces as well. Only the strong would live, only the demon kind.
The wind blew near him, whispering words into his pointed ears, toying with his hair as it swirled around his body, flickering the light of the sun upon it. His clothing beat upon itself as it was dragged along by the breeze. His head turned to the sky.
He was feared by all. He killed anyone in his path. He was ruthless, heartless. Emotionless, cold. He was pure ice. He bottled and locked away his soul, and those feelings. He had froze his heart as if the ice age had struck.
His ears twitched as he looked back towards the village below. His eyes softened.
He was a demon. His name was feared by all, his title known throughout all Japan. He was of the strongest and could bring a fearless General begging on his knees. He was heartless, emotionless, cold. He was cruel and horrid, unmerciful and a monster of death.
"Lord Sesshomaru!" A young girl cried as she ran up to the shadowed figure. She smiled brightly up at him, not a strip of fear upon her face. He looked down at her, his face blank, and yet not. He turned away from her, walking back into the dark forest, the young human girl following behind him without a second thought or doubt.
So then...why wasn't he...?
