Disclaimer: Don't own Sisters Grimm or the song Letting A Good One Go.
For the record, I like songfics.
Sabrina sighed as she sat in the chapel staring at a very uncomfortable looking Puck in a tuxedo. It was the day that his arranged marriage with Moth would be taking place and Relda had made her go.
I think I thought so much about losing you
That I never really had you
You spend so much time
You spend so much time
When you think you've got all the time in the world
She knew she'd missed her chance. She had spent so much time worrying about what he thought about her that she'd never really taken the chance, and now, well now the chance was gone. He was to marry Moth and then he'd be gone forever.
And I turned you into
A conversation piece
And the things you take for granted
Turn out to be the things that you need
She had turned their supposed future marriage into a funny little thing to bring into conversations, when she knew that who she was talking to would not be telling Puck. It turned out that she'd taken the whole thing for granted because now she realized just how much she needed to be married to Puck. How much she actually loved him.
I'm timing my breath against the backbeat of your footsteps
As we walk along cobble stone streets
Arms at are sides to deliberate
Eyes on the ground
Counting down to when we can talk out loud
Moth had walked down the aisle by now, and they'd said their vows. It was time to go to the reception, and Sabrina wasn't sure she could even stand.
She sighed as Daphne helped her up they'd ended up right behind Puck and Moth, Moth looking extremely happy and Puck staring at the ground looking like he was planning a way to escape.
Sabrina couldn't bear to see it and she looked down at the ground examining the shoes that she had on her feet.
Move on, Steady now
Move on, Move on, Move on
You're letting a good one go
You're letting a good one go
You're letting a good one go
You're letting a good one go
She sighed as she saw that they had reached the outside and looked up in time to see Puck and Moth get into the limousine. It drove away and she sighed.
Relda turned to her and gave a week smile.
"We don't have to go to the reception." She whispered.
Sabrina nodded thankfully and headed towards the car.
Letting him go would be her biggest mistake.
