Hello! Let me start off by saying this one-shot is based on a scene from the movie, I don't really think it spoils anything but if you're nervous just review something like "Wanted to read, but didn't want to risk it" lol. Oh and I know it's not word for word, sorry my memory isn't that great (how awesome would it be if it was though!) Please review, no flames!

Disclaimer: I don't own Percy Jackson

I smiled at Percy and I could see him leaning towards me. I felt myself leaning towards him and my eyes starting to close.

"Percy, man get up here. We've got a problem!" Grover yelled from the hotel porch.

We both blushed at our close proximity. "I should go." Percy said, standing up.

"Yeah, I'll come too." I replied, staring at his muscles.

We walked in silence to the hotel room where Grover was waiting. "You guys have to see this." He replied.

"Hold on," Percy started digging around his backpack. "Let me get a shirt first."

I almost sighed as he pulled the blue t-shirt over his head, but I caught myself at the last second. Blushing, I focused on Grover. "So what's this about?"

Grover pointed to the television and started munching on a tin can.

I watched the news report and my eyes widened as I realized what it was about. They were accusing Percy of kidnapping his own mother! I looked over at Percy, who was still watching the report, and saw that his jaw was clenched and his eyes looked venomous.

"Perc, you okay man?" Grover asked.

Percy stayed quiet for a few moments, just staring at the TV. "Oh great so now I'm a fugitive?!" He shouted.

"It'll be okay." Grover said, trying to comfort him. Percy stayed silent so Grover tried again. "Don't worry, we'll get a good night's rest and tomorrow we'll head to the Parthenon." He turned and headed toward the bathroom.

"Oh guys!" He appeared with Medusa's head. "I can't pee with her watching me!"

Suddenly there was a scream and we all turned to see a cleaning maid staring at us in horror.

"Oh great," Percy muttered.

I rushed over to shut the curtains. "We need to get out of here before Homeland Security shows up."

Grover hung his head down. "I messed up."

"It's okay Grover. Why don't you get the truck ready?" I suggested.

He nodded sadly and headed out the door. I looked over at Percy who was still glaring at the TV. I grabbed my backpack and sat down next to him on the bed. I was packing my things up when I felt pressure on my shoulder. I looked at my shoulder and saw Percy's arm draped around it.

"You okay?" I asked.

"I would never hurt my mom." He replied, he didn't move his arm however.

"We know you didn't." I said, moving closer to him.

He turned to look at me. "I don't know what I'd do without her. I can't imagine not having at least one parent around."

I smiled sadly at him and realized he didn't know about my father. Well now was not the time to tell him. "We'll find your mom, Percy. And then we'll fix all this." I said nodding towards the television.

Percy looked me straight in the eyes. "Promise?"

I nodded. "Promise."

He smiled and I could see the old Percy coming back. He then noticed his arm around my shoulder and jumped up, blushing. "I'm going to go change and dry off."

I nodded. "Percy?"

He turned. "Yeah?"

"I hope you don't expect me to stop kicking your butt at sword-fighting just because you're a fugitive."

He smiled at me. "That's funny because last time we fought I remember me winning."

I glared at him, which just made him laugh as he headed into the bathroom.

I turned back to my bag just as Grover walked in with some more tin cans.
