Day in the Life of a King
Disclaimer: I don't own Inuyasha.
Summary: King Inuyasha's wife, Kagome, is due to have her babies today. One-shot on the birth.
"Okay my queen, when I say to push, bear down as hard as you can."
Kagome nodded, her body contracting with pain. She looked to her husband who was next to her. She could tell he was excited. This was their first child.
"Are you ready love?" asked a frantic Inuyasha.
"Yeah. I'm ready to get this baby out NOW!!!" she screamed as another contraction came through.
"Alright my queen. Ready? Now."
Kagome pushed with all her might. God this hurt!!! She just wanted to scream in pain. But she wanted her baby to here her laughing when he/she came out.
"Alright, now rest."
She started panting heavily.
When told to she bore down again she did scream. A few moments later, a baby boy came out of her. His wails echoed through the room. Inuyasha looked to him with pride in his eyes.
Kagome smiled too, before she scrunched her face in pain. Inuyasha and the mid-wife were shocked.
"My queen, you're having another child!!"
Inuyasha was shocked to say the least. He hadn't suspected that there'd be two children.
"Alright my queen, push now."
Kagome pushed with all her might and out came the second. A beautiful baby girl had come into the world. Inuyahsa looked with more pride. A prince and a princess. All kings desired twins at one point in their lives.
"What are we going to name them love?"
"Well Inuyasha, I was thinking, Hojo for the boy and Neko for the girl."
Inuysaha smiled. Those names fit very well.
After they were cleaned. Inuaysha took them out onto the balcony to show them the kingdom.
"My dearest son, my precious daughter, this is your kingdom. The one in which someday you will rule. Buddha has blessed us with you two. Let us thank him."
With that Inuyahsa kneeled and prayed for health, love, and happiness to his children and wife.
This night would be remembered for all eternity in their kingdom.
