'The Book'
Kakashi would always be seen with it, more so than he was seen with her.
She never really quite understood it. She didn't mind that he was reading about er… nice things, but still… what was in it? What made him so transfixed that he would set down all other things and just read the book? Or make up excuses to read the book?
She let out an agitated huff – now that Jiraiya had come out with another series, he was all caught up over that. Kakashi would rush home and flop on the couch and read to his heart's content.
Of course Hotaru didn't mind, I mean at least he was reading, but she was still puzzled at his actions.
Hotaru sighed, 'What's in the goddamn book that makes it so special?'
She waited for him to fall asleep and decided to take a peak.
She ran her fingers over the cover and opened the page. After a few pages, she set the book down.
She never questioned Kakashi's motives again.
