Mumbling of various curses can be heard just by the bifrost, on a cold Asgardian night. It was the 12th month of the year in Midgardian time, as Loki sat on the edge of the rainbow bridge. The god of mischief's feet hovering down the galaxy, he had his usual robes on, his facial features indicate that he's in a foul mood.

"Foolish Thor." He muttered under his breath. He was upset yet again by the different treatment he received compared to his brother. This time it was regarding the quarters where Daisha, their cousin, would stay. Thor was absolutely fine with the room she was supposed to accommodate, the chamber across Fandral's; which reasons were irrational in Loki's perspective. Loki insisted on letting her sleep in the room beside his, but the Allfather had guests assigned to sleep there.

She was visiting for the month, spending time in the main castle as always. The god of mischief sighed in aggravation, his brows scrunched together.

"Cousin.." A sweet voice rang, the raven haired god looked to his right to find Daisha, the bright colors of the bridge reflected on her face.

"Ah.. It's you.." Loki said in a monotonous tone.

"May I join you?" Daisha asked, nearing the edge.

"Go ahead." The god soughed dryly, looking over the bright stars that shone everywhere below his feet.

"Why am I always reprimanded?" Loki said under his breath.

"Besides being a pushover? Gee, I don't know." The goddess replied in a sarcastic tone as she sat beside the irritated god.

Loki shot Daisha a glare and she gave it back, only to find themselves laughing together.

"Let me tell you a tale.." The brunette smiled, as their laughter fizzled down.

Loki gave her a look, notifying her to continue.

"Well, in Midgard.. Every 25th of the 12th month, they have a celebration called, Christmas. You see, long ago, far in their time; A child was born from an untouched woman. As he grew, he proclaimed himself as the son of a god, the savior. Many placed their beliefs on that man, and many denied his presence. He was shown cruelty and merciless assaults, naming him mad and silly..." Daisha started.

A hearty scoff emitted from Loki, "If he was truly a son of a god, he should've shown them his untamed wrath."

Daisha rolled her eyes and continued to tell the story, "As he was tortured, the man never fought back. Instead, he forgave them and loved them as much as he loved his followers. The people on earth celebrate his birth, as a sign of thanks and praise." The goddess finished, looking at Loki who stayed stoic.

"Y'know.. That story kind of reminds me of you.." She sighed.

"I am not loved by many, isn't that quite obvious?" Loki smirked in an irritant tone.

"I love you." Daisha responded, her eyes filled with meaning as her gaze never left his.

The god's heart lightened, happy at her response, yet a pang of hurt crept inside, knowing that she meant it platonically and nothing more. "I am no savior.." He added.

"You have saved me." Daisha smiled at Loki, resting her head on his shoulder. "As much as many loathed him, he was still loved by others; that drove him to continue on his journey... Just like you." She sighed, closing her eyes as the cool wind gushed.

"Happy Christmas, Loki." Daisha whispered with a happy tune.

The raven haired god felt a tug in the corner of his lips, a small smile marked on his face. "Yeah, that." He replied, tilting his head a bit topping on Daisha's.
