"Shadow! Get over here!" Yelled Rouge. The city was in flames. Buildings were crumbling down, if not already turned into debris. From a distance, it looked like anything within 6 miles of the place was hit by a super nova. "What is it Rouge?" "Eggman has a bomb planted somewhere in the city."

"So. What's so important about that?" Shadow asked. "it's powerful enough to destroy the entire city. That's what's so dangerous about it!" Yelled Rouge. "Fine. I'll deal with it. Just get everyone out of the blast radius."

With that being said, Rouge started getting people away from the city. "Rouge, if you see Blaze, give this to her for me, will you?" Rouge turned around, "Of course." Rouge then takes the note/letter. Then Shadow sped off to the center of Central City Square. Unknown to the fact that the bomb had 2 minutes left until it blows.

Shadow was speeding down to Central City Square. Quickly yet slowly making his way there.

1:00 Left

Sonic, Tails, Silver, Knuckles, Blaze, and Amy are nearing the city. They found Rouge helping citizens get to safety.

40 Seconds left

"Rouge, what's going on?" Sonic asked. "The city's going to blow, and I need help evacuating its residents." "Don't worry. We'll help out."

10 Seconds Left

I found the bomb, but there isn't any time to defuse it or get out of the radius. I'm sorry Blaze.

"What are they talking about Rouge?" Blaze asked with worry in her voice.

"Shadow..."

Boom!~~~~~ The impact of the explosion knocked everyone back a couple of feet.

It took everyone at least a minute to take in what happened. "Hey Rouge, where's Shadow at?" "He..." Rouge couldn't finish the sentence. All she did was look at what remained of the city.

"Don't tell me he was in the city when it blew." Blaze said with tears starting to form in her eyes. "Before he went, he wanted me to give you this." Blaze then took the note from Rouge.

Opening it, she read it.

Blaze, if you're reading this, then I won't get the chance to tell you my feelings for you.

When I first met you, I thought I was seeing an angel. I wanted to tell you how much I cared for your safety and happiness. As a matter of fact, there were a lot of things I wanted to tell you. I just couldn't muster myself to say them. Ironic, isn't it. The Ultimate Life-Form is capable of many things, but I couldn't tell you my feelings.

Anyway, what I'm trying to say is, I love you Blaze. If you feel the same, then always know I'll be with you.
