Flint had a short day at school. He had walked home with a few of his friends, and they made him hungry talking about what they hoped was for lunch. By the time he got home, Flint was in serious need of some snackage. To remedy said situation, the redhead decided to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, a tried and true lunch for most elementary school kids his age.
"Flint, I'm going to work, okay?" His mother walked past the kitchen right after he finished making his sandwich, wiping strawberry jelly off his cheek (he managed to get some on his mouth by "accident"). "Take care of your little brother for me. Can you do that?"
"Yep! You can count on me, Mama. Be safe, okay?"
She kissed her oldest son on the forehead and smiled, waving as she left. Flint wandered into the living room to find his two-year-old brother sitting on the couch. He was watching some kiddie show on television and was completely entranced by it. The older brother sat on the couch next to his younger, and found himself being snuggled for lack of anyone else to snuggle.
"Fwint?"
"Hnn?"
Buck looked up at him, red eyes bright with awe. "Can I have some sammich?"
The older redhead frowned at him, but his brother's cute face made him give in. "Fine, you can have a bite." He held the sandwich out and couldn't hold back a grin as Buck opened his mouth wide as it would go to get as much sandwich as he could.
"Tank you, Fwint," Buck murmured through his mouthful (or two) of sandwich.
"No problem. If you want one, I can make you one, okay?"
Buck simply nodded and started to chew, satisfied for the moment being. The show he was watching went off, and another came on, this one about a little girl and her shiny Pachirisu named Pinky-Pie. The brothers started watching (Flint out of boredom, Buck was again entranced). But... after a few seconds Flint got the feeling something was wrong. He glanced down at his little brother to find him trying to lick leftover peanut butter off the top of his mouth.
Anyone who hadn't had the oppportunity to see this occurance would have busted a gut, and Flint did just that. Buck frowned at him as if to say, "It's not funny!" but Flint just laughed at him more.
