One morning Jess is behind the counter at Luke's and pour's a young girl a cup of coffee.
''thank's'' she says
''your welcome.'' he says and smiles at her
Lorelai comes down the stair's in Luke's flannel shirt and pajama pants.
''morning baby whose your friend?'' Lorelai asks him and runs her hand through his hair
''oh she's not I don't know her or her name she just came in here so I just poured her some coffee.'' he tells her
''oh.''she says and goes over to the girl
''Hi sweetie what's your name?'' Lorelai asks her
''Rory.'' Rory tells her
''aww I'm Lorelai and that's my step nephew jess it's nice to meet you.'' Lorelai tells her
''you too.'' Rory says
''okay well if you need anything else just yell.'' Lorelai tells her
''okay I will thank's.'' Rory tells her and smiles at her
Jess comes back over
''so that's your step aunt she's really cool and really nice.'' Rory tells him
''oh yea she's the best.'' he tells her
''that's cool your lucky she's that nice.'' she tells him
''yea so are you uh new in town?'' he asks her
''oh no I'm not I'm just here to pick up a book I ordered from the bookstore.'' she tells him

''yea I'm actucally from Hartford I live with my dad at his parent's.'' she tells him

''so how old are you?'' Rory asks him
''14 on the verge of being 15 soon.'' he tells her
''oh that's cool I'll be 15 in October.'' she tells him
''so this place is?'' she asks him
''my uncle's place.'' he tells her
''oh that's cool.'' she tells him
''so um do you like working here?'' she asks him
''yea it's not too bad it gives me a little extra cash.'' he tells her
''oh that's cool I would love to meet your uncle I'm sure he's great and nice also.'' she tells him
