Aloha! Cue sparkles!

Tifa sat on the hardwood floor of her bedroom rummaging through a drooping cardboard box. Scattered around her were different trinkets and papers from her journey in life. She lifted out a manila envelope which had "AVALANCHE DAYS" written boldly in permanent marker across the top.

A brown button rolled out a small tear in the bottom and Tifa raced to catch it. "Where is this from…Oh! My shorts!" She exclaimed, smiling at the worn out button in her palm. "I wonder what else is in here." She emptied the contents carefully onto her bed and sat on her knees to see over the edge.

" A pinball from the first Seventh Heaven's machine, one of my not-so-high heels from Don Corno's, a fortune from Wutai, a picture of everyone at the Golden Saucer…what's this?" She flipped the photo over carefully. "Oh! Zack, Sephiroth, and I in Nibleheilm ." She smiled wistfully. She picked up all the items to shove back into the envelope when another photo fell out.

Tifa gasped in realization. The photo depicted she and Cloud on Halloween dressed up in costumes. Cloud was wearing a SOLDIER costume Mrs. Strife had fashioned out of old shirts and Tifa was dressed like a pretty pink princess, complete with a crown of gold. She giggled at Cloud's horrified expression in the photo. She flipped it over to read the back.

Dear Tifa,

I'm going to Midgar to join SOLDIER. I'll be First Class one day, so I can honor our promise.

Cloud Strife

Tifa ran her fingers over the carefully written letters. "You did honor our promise Cloud." She whispered.

She heard the backdoor open downstairs. "Teef?"

"I'm upstairs, Cloud!"

She heard his heavy footsteps trudging up the stairs. She smiled when he appeared in the doorway, and she beckoned him close. He ambled over to the bed and sat down across from her. "Remember this?" Tifa teased, giggling when Cloud frowned.

"You kept that?"

"Yeah." She stared into his blue eyes for a moment. "Thanks for being my hero, Cloud."

He looked away, a light pink splashing across his cheeks. "I'm no hero."

"To me you are." She leaned over and hugged him, smiling widely when he hesitantly wrapped his arms around her.

"You'll always be my hero."

Okay, the word this time was hero, if you didn't notice. 2/50, I'm on a roll! Hehe, if I keep this up I'll be done in a couple hundred days. Just Kidding, hopefully I'll be quicker than that.
