My friend and I came up with a game. We hate prompted writing (for the most part) like the stupid things you get in school that tell to you write about something you don't care about. But, we like writing and thinking outside the box. And prompts for drabbles and ships are fun. But, we decided to give each other four words. Whatever we wanted and we had to start writing a story about it. Or if possible a drabble so it completed. And I was given Love, Bunny, Chocolate, and Balloons. And instinctively, I go toward Klaine. They're my OTP, but that was instantly a "no" as soon as my friend saw the wheels in my head turning. But, Tike was the next thing that popped into my head. And it ended up being so much cuter than what I would have done with Kurt and Blaine. So, I hope that you enjoy. It's just a short, no plot, drabble that I threw together.
I Love You
Tina sat down on the couch, arms, crossed, and letting out an exaggerated, irritated sigh. It was Valentine's Day, she was supposed to spend the day with Mike. It was supposed to be magical and lovely. But no. They had to go out to eat with Mike's parents. It's not that Tina didn't love them, she did, but the day was supposed to be spent just the two of them- not at the hated Chinese restaurant. So, she was venting while she could.
Before to long the tale-tale ringing of the door bell was chiming throughout the house. Tina hopped up, straightening her pink and black dress before heading to the front door. She was met by Mike- hair slicked back the way Tina loved, grey beret and matching vest over a yellow shirt, blue pants. Everyone always thought Kurt and Brittany were the best dressed, but she knew Mike could give them a run for their money.
"Mike!" Tina exclaimed, leaping into his arms for a kiss. When she pulled back, she noticed his parents were nowhere to be found. Mike didn't miss the curiosity on her face. "I had to figure out a way to surprise you."
"No Dim Sum with your parents?" She asked. Mike laughed, shaking his head. Tina heard the loud sigh of relief leaving her lips.
"But I do have some surprises." He went on to say. Tina cocked an eyebrow, but Mike was continuing. "Wait here."
The tall male was bolting out the door, returning a second later with his arms full of chocolates, flowers, and balloons- all of the typical bight, colorful, corny, romantic things that girls loved. He set them all on the coffee table by the couch in enough time to be tackled by Tina and lavished with kisses. Tears pricked her eyes and her heart soared. It wasn't possible to love this man anymore. Or so she thought.
"I love you, Mike." She told him, smile on her face.
"I have one more surprise." Mike told her. "Remember what we talked about?"
Suddenly, Tina felt more confused than ever. They talked about a lot of things. What one specifically was he talking about? Mike seemed to sense this and went on. "Just come with me."
He led her out to the Cohen-Chang's porch, and sitting there was a snow white rabbit. The tips of its ears being the only thing that interfered with the flawless white. They were black- like they had been dipped in paint. It was the same bunny the two of them looked at in the pet shop. The one that Tina pointed out, confessing that she had always wanted a bunny.
"Her name is Amelia." Mike whispered into her ear, arms wrapping around her from behind. She twisted in his arms, kissing him passionately long. Pulling back she whispered, "Thank you. This is the best Valentine's gift ever."
