Dr. Alphys and Undyne have a great life together. They live in a little house in the city, and sometimes Frisk would hangout with them to watch anime together.
It was Fall, and the cold weather started to take effect. One night, Alphys had just gotten home from work. She was about go into her house when she saw something strange sitting next to her mailbox. It was a small box that seemed to quiver a little every now and then. Mabye it was just the wind blowing against it; but even when the wind wasn't blowing, it seemed to move.
The worried yet interested lizard gained up the courage to walk over to the box and try to open it. She slowly pulled back the flaps, bracing herself for whatever was in that box. Alphys was waiting for the thing to just jump out and grab her face. After a few seconds, she peeked inside and saw the complete opposite of what she was expecting.
Inside was a small, orange baby lizard with a small tail that wrapped around him to keep him warm. Alphys was comepletely speechless. She had never expected to see such a lonely thing left behind in a little box out in the open. She collected herself and said, "H-h-hi l-little guy..." She barely raised her hand and he already was excited. His tail was going crazy. It banged against the side of the box with a "THUMP THUMP THUMP."
Alphys picked him up and he grabbed her nose.
Giggling, Alphys brought the little guy into the house and into bedroom. They had no extra beds, so, taking the pillow from her bed, Alphys placed it inside of the box, as well as a blanket. She didn't want to let him sleep on Undyne's bed because she was very strict on who uses it. She even wrote a letter and nailed it to the headboard. "CAUTION: Whoever uses this bed without proper permission GETS BEAT UP. YES, YOU PUNK. I SEE YOU LAYIN' THERE!" She tucked him into his little box bed at least relieved that she was able to calm him down. She went to sleep that night with that one thought still stuck in her head.
"Am I a mother now... ?"
