Two friends, Andrew and Khan were hanging out in a restaurant waiting for their meal. They were completely unaware of what they ordered because they were too busy texting on their phones. When they waiter appeared with their food, Khan received a full circle pumpkin pie with frosting on top of it, and Andrew received a plain bowl of rice.
"Wait, this is what I ordered?" Andrew asked.
"I guess so," Khan said as he stabbed the center of his pie, "I wonder why they have numbers to choose instead of actually naming the food"
"Well I thought #1 was going to be the #1 food served here"
Khan left his knife in the center of the pie. "Not in this restaurant" He said as he put his phone in his pocket.
"Darn" Andrew placed his phone to the side of the table and grabbed hold of the chopsticks in the rice.
Before they began eating, Khan cut off a piece of his pie and placed it on a separate saucer. He slid the saucer to Andrew's side of the table. "You want the pie?"
Andrew had a dramatic pause. He heard the question echo in his head over and over again. Oh my god, He thought to himself, I have a feeling the fate of our lives depends on this!
"Dude, do you want a piece of the pie?" Khan seemed to be annoyed.
Am I really that hungry? Do I want or do I need this piece of pie?
"Andrew, for the love of God! Do you want the pie or not!" Khan slammed the table.
In his mind, he began to analyze the pie mathematically. Pie; it can also be considered as pi, it can be used to find the circumference of a circle, the radius, the diameter—
"You know what? I'm not hungry anymore. Have it yourself"
Khan got up from his seat and was ready to exit the building. Before he left, he placed cash on the table as payment and as a tip for the food. When he reached for the door, he felt someone's hand on his shoulder. He turned his head and saw that it was Andrew, who was looking down at the floor instead of looking Khan in the eye.
"The answer is…"
