~Chapter 1-New Beginning
Today was relatively normal. Which, mind you, was quite a remarkable feat, seeming as the past couple of weeks had been overflowing with crying and mourning, suffering and heartbreak and death and destruction. And that was besides all the quarrelling, yelling and worrying. Although almost all of the other time lines were now only dreams, now she knew that they were, in actuality, real. Her thoughts wandered to Okabe, and his sacrifice, and a rosy hue coloured her cheeks. Of course, it's just the warm temperature in here. Yes, that's why I'm blushing... She feebly justified, sinking deeper into the depths of her bath.
Taking a rare hiatus from mulling over research papers and theories, she had spent the peaceful day mostly with Okabe, and with Mayurii as well. She had accompanied Mayurii grocery shopping for snacks, which the three had enjoyed with Daru. Her eyebrow twitched in frustration as she recalled Daru... Interrupting and perverting the moment... We were only browsing through photos on my cell phone! Daru had idiotically chosen then to comment on their close proximity, sitting shoulder-to-shoulder, causing Okabe to frantically scramble away, denying having initiated 'contact'. What an idiot he is sometimes! ... But I'm glad we made up afterwards. She grinned, thinking of Okabe flicking through the channels in the other room of the hotel.
Okabe... Images of him taking her place, allowing himself to be stabbed by her father, the frightening amount of blood he lost, and the blood-curdling scream that she half-remembered re-surfaced. Words could never begin to describe how grateful she was to him for saving her. The scar on his toned abdomen served as a constant reminder of his bravery, selflessness and love for her.
Kurisu Makise blushed a crimson red before settling down, pushing all thoughts of Okabe out of her mind. She sat up straighter in the bath tub, pulling in her legs, staring at the white-tiled walls in front of her, when a strange spark in the water sent her in a frenzy. Surely, I-I'll get electrocuted! But, as it would prove, this would be the least of her worries for many days to come. Shortly after, the water in her bathtub exploded in her face, so she raised both hands to barricade the torrential splash of water. She squeezed her eyes shut, and when she reopened them, her brain had a hard time registering what had happened.
There before her, stood a voluptuous girl, stark naked in her bathtub, some how managing to teleport into her bathroom. The girl had long locks of pink hair, and brilliant emerald green eyes. And while half her brain was trying to explain the possibility of teleporting and being able to survive, he realized, when the girl finally seemed to notice her, that this foreign person, had no qualms of being stark naked, and this sent the blood rushing to her head, yet again. But what she said next thoroughly enthralled her:
"Oh! And Earthling!" she sent a beaming smile her way, that was genuinely warm and innocent.
Earthling?!
