Disclaimer: I do not own characters of Merlin even though I wished I did I mean come on who wouldn't want to own them!
And while reading this I would listen to 'Merlin Lost' From the Season one soundtrack. I listened to it on replay while I wrote it J And no I do not own the beautiful song 'Merlin Lost'
A pale face belonging to a young girl walked silently through the eerie forest. Her cloak wrapped tightly around her figure, her midnight colored hair swayed with the fall breeze. Her eyes were a pool of brown that held mystery behind them. In her hands she clung to a piece of parchment and a quill. There was no sound except for the crunching under her feet as she walked on fallen leaves.
Her face emotionless she continued walking until she came to a lake where numerous events have happened which she was oblivious to. She slowly made her way to the edge of the water where she kneeled on the wet sand. She sensed that great grief has happened near these waters.
Staring at the lake she felt a magical presence under the waters. Ignoring it she looked down at the still water in front of her.
" ic i álýme Merlin," she whispered.
A ripple in the water was made and suddenly an image was shown. There stood a tall lanky looking man named Merlin, bickering with a blue eyed blonde. She remembered as the crown heir of Camelot. The girl watching them through the image and laughed quietly to herself.
"Just as how I remember them," She murmured.
She watched as Merlin's eyes darted around the room feeling as though someone was watching them. He was always protective of Arthur, it was his destiny after all she thought.
Looking at the image her heart felt heavy. She had left Camelot in order to keep her half-brother safe. For she knew that not even his magic was strong enough to hinder the events that could've occurred if she stayed. She sighed remembering her departure from the grand kingdom, magic may have been outlawed there but that didn't stop it from becoming her home.
She regretted leaving Merlin and Gaius without a goodbye but with just a note saying she was sorry and that the choice she was making was for the best. She had been fourteen when she had made her choice and now it has been two years since she was home. The sorcerer who had threatened her was dead and she was free.
Swiping her hand at the image making it disappear she took out the piece of parchment and wrote 'To the past' on it.
"Bryne," she said. And the parchment caught on fire. She put it on the ground as she stood and watched as it burned away.
Her past was now over and it was time for a new beginning.
She was going to go back home.
I hope you enjoyed this one-shot It was something that just popped into my head!
Please feel free to review J and criticize constructively, thanks!
