A/N: I was thinking about the episode where Jo tells Mac he should get married and this popped in my head. Hope you like it.
Mac and Jo had been together for nearly 3 years now. Their life as a couple was great; they managed to work well together, without letting their relationship interfering in their work.
For a few months Mac had been thinking about something Jo had told him in the first year they met:
"Mac, you need to get married and have kids"
This sentence of hers had been on his mind a lot lately, and now he had finally figured what he should do; yep, he is going to propose to her.

During lunch he and Jo went to a coffee nearby the lab. They did everything they always do: talked, laughed and of course ate their meals. When they headed back to the Crime Lab, Jo went straight to her office and Mac straight to his.
Before Jo could even sit on her chair she received a text from Mac:
From: Mac
To: Jo
Hey beautiful, I left a file for you to read on your desk. Can you bring it to me after you finish it? I love you.
As soon as she read it, she scanned her desk and found a medium white envelope. She grabbed it and opened it. Inside of it was a red paper with word written in black. Jo smiled as she realized that the handwriting belonged to Mac. As she began reading it, she couldn't stop smiling:
I had never been good at writing
But I'll try just to see you smiling
Since you walked into my life
Nothing has ever been the same
Still, there's not a thing that I would change
Every time I see you I have to catch my breath
Because, baby you leave me out of air
So I've been thinking about something you said
In the year we first met
So now I'll ask you an important question
And I want your entire honesty
Will you marry me?
When Jo finished reading it she was stunned. She grabbed the envelope and the poem and headed towards Mac's office. She didn't even bother to knock; she just opened the door and asked him:
"Are you serious?"
Mac looked up and saw Jo holding the red paper in her hands and he just couldn't wipe the smile that crept in his face.
"Jo, I love you more than words can express. I need you by my side all the time, I can't imagine living without you. So yes, I'm serious. Will you marry me?"
Jo could barely speak; the only thing she was able to let out was a soft "Yes"
"Yes?"
Mac asked her one more time just to be sure he had listen correctly.
She nodded her head smiling:
"Yes! Yes! I'll marry you"
He hugged her lifting her from the floor and spinning her around. Putting her back on the floor he said:
"Now, there's just one thing left"
Mac went to his desk and grabbed a small blue velvet box; turning back to Jo he opened it. She nearly screamed when she saw the ring, it was a rounded three stone with blue sapphire side stones.
Mac took the ring out of the box and placed it on her finger. It fitted her perfectly.
He kissed her hand and then her lips. Both of them were so happy that didn't realize that the whole team had gathered outside Mac's office and were watching everything in true happiness.
Things from now on will be a little different but also will be better, because whatever happens they have each other.
The end.
A/N 2: Thanks for reading it and here's the link to Jo's ring:
