The World Ends With You. Just, wow. I don't own, if I did I'd announced a sequel by now
"Hope you're writing something good."
Shiki jumped, and heard a small laugh. She looked up. Neku was standing over her.
"Oh, hi Neku. Sorry I didn't see you there. Don't scare me like that." Shiki said, quickly closing her book and hiding it behind her, as if it wasn't there. She had been waiting for Neku on a park bench and was designing to pass the time. However, soon she began writing and well-
"It's okay," Neku said, giving off a small smile. "So what'cha writing there?"
"Oh well," Shiki began, "I-I was writing something for, ummm English class. Y'know Shakespeare stuff. But I'm done now so, lets go."
"Shiki"
"Hm?"
"School ended last week." Neku said. "Just yesterday you were saying how great it is that its summer."
"Oh."
Silence.
"If you didn't want to tell me you didn't have to lie to me."
"No! Its not that, its well, um," Shiki mumbled.
"What?"
"Well, the writings kind of embarrassing."
Silence on Neku's end
"Yeah," Shiki said, fiddling with a strand of her hair. "I kind of wrote a poem about um, you."
"Me?"
"Yeah. I was going to do some designing, but then I began thinking of you and well," Shiki waved the book, "This happened."
"Can I read it?"
"What!?"
"Can I read it?" Neku asked calmly.
"Well, um, you see its," Shiki began stuttering. "It's extremely embarrassing. I could show you some designs of you want."
"I'll pass," Neku said. He extended his hand. "Ready to go?"
Shiki looked up at him, and then down at her book. She placed the book in Neku's hands.
"Just read it and don't judge me. Meet you at the usual place." Was all she said. She then took off.
Neku watched her run, too stunned to react. He looked at the book in his hands. On the cover it was labled Designs and a small Mr. Mew was doodled on it. Neku opened the book and flipped through a couple of pages of Shiki's work and finally came to the one page filled with words. The top of the page was labeled What I Hate about Neku. He began reading.
I hated your stupid headphones
You always blocked me out
I hated your stupid choice in clothes
It's not what I called hawt
I hated that stupid black pin
The one that caused us woe
I hated when you called me names
I never got a say
I hated when I had to leave
And you had to stay
I hated the waiting I went through
When I thought you went away
I hated the way I looked at you
Before I saw your face
I hated myself in the games
My borrowed disgraced face
I hated how you acted once
How you acted those days
But,
What I hate the most is what I feel
Because I love you too much
I hate how you don't know what I feel
Inside, I love you too much
Neku smiled at the end of the poem. He closed the book and began walking to where Shiki was. The "usual place" was Hachiko and Neku found Shiki to her back to him facing Rhyme and Beat. He tapped her on the shoulder. She turned around to face him, a smile on her face. He placed the book back into her hands and leaned over to whisper in her ear,
"I love you too Stalker."
Hope you liked it! If you don't get some parts, when Shiki writes " I hated the way I looked at you, before I saw your face" I'm referring to the end of the game during the credits where Shiki tapped Neku on the shoulders and then turned around. Also in the "waiting when I though you were away" I'm referring to the week before they all met up in Hachiko. I'm echoing how Neku "met" Shiki at the end of the game in the end of this fanfic. HOPED U LIKED! COMMENT! Please just do it!
