AN: Okay, so I was flipping through my book of random scribbles and whatnot, and I came across this. Then I got bored and felt like updating something, so... yeah. Leave a review and let me know how nuts I am! :D

As much as Spry liked to think that any problem could be solved with a simple, hair-brained solution, she knew this wasn't so.

As much as she liked to believe that life went on and on until all of your dreams came true, this too, she knew to be false. Always in her youth, she had gone around skipping and singing, enjoying all that life had to offer.

Sometimes she STILL did that, although some of her childlike innocence had gone, and nowadays she mostly spent her time enjoying all that peanut butter sandwiches had to offer instead.

But no- all these secretly false beliefs could do her no good, now. Fighting the urge to run, she stood her ground and faced the dilemma before her.

Sighing, she realized that the only way out of this was the obvious way. Which, inconveniently, was also the hardest and most dangerous way.

Looking up, she squared her shoulders and said, "Zuko, I broke that vase in the hall."

The Firelord's eyes widened. "You WHAT?"

"I was having a how-far-can-you-kick-a-shoe contest with Mai, and all of the sudden-"

"I WILL ROAST YOUR FACE!"

With a squeak very similar to that of a terrified mouse, she turned and made a run for it with Zuko on her heels.

"GET BACK HERE! YOU'RE GONNA PUT EVERY PIECE OF THAT VASE BACK TOGETHER EVEN IF IT TAKES YOU YOUR WHOLE LIFE! AND WHERE'S MAI?"

Mai, who had been waiting by the pile of evidence, paled and decided it might be best to hide out in the attic for a few hours.

I know… I'm sorry. XD
