Enough
A Samurai Warriors 2 fan fiction
Their love needed no words.
He liked to spoil her, though, by telling her how he feels. He likes to tease her by making his kisses as light as snow, just enough for her to pull away and pout for him.
She, however, indulged him. Every day and every night, she would whisper softly into his perfect little ear how much she would be with him forever. She kissed him as fiercely as she could; she embraced him with all the energy she could muster. It was more than enough for the brave warrior.
Their love needed no words.
And yet continually, both break their promise of solemnity to one another, and murmur words of sweet serenity.
How could they avoid it? They lived in a land filled with war and bloodshed. Every day could be their last day. They wasted no time, both hearts yearning for an eternity to spend and waste away together.
It was an impossible wish, but they were both dreamers, and they never regretted it.
He was withering away now, but still. Even in the heat of the battle, he loved her, and she loved him back. Every hit and every swipe of his gigantic sword, every turn and every graceful jump she made to attack him were all little, desperate acts of passion.
They needed nothing else but each other now.
"I love you."
The first sentence she indulged him with every single day, every single morning, would be the last sentence she would tell him, as her beloved's strength faded away.
She sobbed in silence, the cherry blossoms her only companion in the wreckage of war, slowly realizing he never heard her break their solemn promise one last time.
I'm getting my fluff back on. And if you can't guess who this couple is then oh dear me, someone needs to replay the game again. A oneshot dedicated to, an ironically, underrated couple. Please read and review.
