Author's note: Wrote this last night because I couldn't sleep during my flight home, so you could say that I wasn't quite thinking straight when I was going at it. I decided to experiment with Chase and Foreman, since I haven't really written much on either of them. Just as an extra note in case anyone doesn't know, Movember - a portmanteau of 'moustache' and 'November' - is a real charity event that originated in Australia.

"Are you growing a moustache?"

The question was asked with surprise and not a small amount of incredulity as Foreman stared openly at the face of his colleague.

Chase, to whom this question was addressed, glanced at his reflection in the window before him.

"Is it that obvious?"

Another appraising glance was cast in his direction.

"Yes."

Chase shifted nervously on his feet as he forced himself to meet the scrutinising gazes of his coworker.

"So... how do I look?"

The question was asked with no small amount of hesitation.

"Ridiculous."

Chase blanched slightly.

"It can't be that bad!"

"You can't seriously think that you look fine with that thing."

"I certainly don't think I look ridiculous!"

Foreman shook his head.

"Why are you doing it, anyway? If you're trying to best House at a facial hair competition, you're way out of your league."

Chase scoffed in response.

"It's Movember."

"What?"

"Movember. It's a thing people did back in Australia every November. They'd grow a mo' to raise awareness for prostate cancer."

Foreman blinked in surprise.

"Growing a moustache for a cause? That's... interesting."

Chase shrugged.

"It's what they did."

Foreman scratched his head as he considered the idea.

"Why not simply donate some money if you want to feel good about yourself?"

A glare was directed in Foreman's direction.

"What? I'm just saying. It doesn't sound like you."

"My best mate died of prostate cancer this year."

Chase dropped his gaze to stare at the floor.

"His family had a history of it, so he used to do it every year. Grow a mo'. I thought I'd take over this year since he's not around to do it."

There was a pause. After a moment, Foreman reached forward to clap a hand on the other doctor's back.

"I'm sorry."

Chase raised an eyebrow.

"Apologising for something that wasn't your fault doesn't sound like you."

Foreman snorted.

"That's not what I meant."

"I know."

"You still look ridiculous though."

Chase managed a laugh as he shook his head.

Behind them, the door swung open. Both men turned towards the entrance to see two more doctors walking into the room.

Cameron threw a questioning glance at Chase, but it was House who opened his mouth.

"Are you growing a moustache?"
