Hi! Sorry if the spelling isn't great, I'm trying! This is an alternate world where Hector's Ballon is perfectly fine and Count Olaf was captured. So thank you for reading and sorry if it is a little too quick! This is my first time!

Chapter 1: A Reason to Feel Ill

I woke up in the middle of the night, the chilly air making me shiver slightly. I hear coughing and wheezing from under a blanket, which is Hector. I crawl over, not being able to see because of the complete darkness around me. Suddenly my hand brushes against his blanket, I find his skin and recoil. His skin was burning which wasn't good. "Isadora?" He coughed, "Is that you?" "Yes it is, Hector what's wrong?" "N-nothing is-" he interrupted by a wave of puke that erupted from his mouth. It was useless to do anything right now, I couldn't see him, and lighting a lantern not only would wake Duncan, but it would make it hard to help Hector. Holding a box with a candle inside isn't ideal. "Listen, try to get some sleep and we will figure something in the morning." I didn't hear a response from Hector but that was alright, it had been a retorical question anyway. I crawl back to my blanket, trying to hide from the cold air, and slowly drift back into sleep.

Even though I hadn't had a wonderful sleep, due to Hectors puking and coughing, I rose with the dawn. The sun's gentle rays warmed the air ever so slightly and gave to morning light that was needed last night. I get up and walk towards Hector, he was finally asleep. I walked over to him, wanting to check his tempeture. I gently reach down and touch his head, it was cold, too cold not normal warmth. A picture flashed in my mind, was Hector dead? I shake him gently saying his name quietly, then I began to get more panicked. I hear my brother stirring behind me as I scream for Hector to get up. Finally Hector coughed. His tempeture still cold. My brother stands next to Hector and me. "He seems awfully pale, doesn't he?" I nodded, thankful that he was still alive. I started to think of something we could do, something that would keep Hector alive. He had to get to a hospital imediatelye. "We need to land, Duncan." I say strongly

"Ok, but how do we do that? Hector only taught us how to go left and right, and Hector is in no condition to steer."

"Um, I'll look for any type of instructions." At that I got up and began searching for instructions. I look over to see Duncan near the buttons, leavers, and wheel that controlled the plane. Suddenly he pulled on a lever which causes us to stop and huver in mid air. While Duncan counties to try different leavers I contiued worry about Hector, a poem slowly forms in my mind...

He has been our garden up in the air,

Always kind, and always fair.

He tells stories you would love to find,

Like our old friends who are one of a kind.

Chapter 2: Thinking of you

I skimmed through one of the law books that I had found in the public library. Count Olaf had killed all of our gardiens so far and had chased us out of house and home. For the past week my sisters and I had been hiding in the city. We hid under tin, and trash. The place I spent most of my time was the library. Violet would usually come with me, but Sunny would desire a walk in the park. Today Sunny had wanted to go on a walk, so now I was sitting in the library. This library reminded me of Justice Strauss's home, slowly memories of all the placese I had been in the past year, Count O house, Uncle Monte, Aunt Josephine, Lucky Smells, Rock Rige High... A specific memory struck my mind. A girl who helped me and my siblings, the one with beautiful brown locks, an amazing poet. My mind was floading with memories of Isadora, seeing her for the first time, her brother and herself staying up all night to help us. Finding her in a bottom of an elevator, and watching her float away, forever... I shook my head trying to clear it. Isadora was safe now, that's all I needed to know. Still, I couldn't get her out of my head while I read. Finally, I decided to leave the library. Even though I would have rathered staying there all night. I left the building to head towards the park. I saw Vilot and Sunny playing on the slide. As they slid down together I smiled. Not a lot of nice things had happened to us, Sunny hadn't been on a slide in a year. Vilot saw me and picked up Sunny and walked over to me. "How was the library?" She asked a smile across her face, nearly identical to mine. "It was quite enjoyable, how was the park?" I said "It was very fun, Sunny loved the slide."

"I saw you guys go down the slide." I said.

"Ugf!" said Sunny, pointing towards the slide.

"Not now Sunny, maybe tomorrow." Said Violet. Suddenly her smile faded, "I guess we should go to our... tin?"

If you can remeber, we were hiding in the city under tin and trash, seriously. Violet put Sunny down on a pile of clothes we found laying around the block. Violet pulled out a small bowl of chips. It was obviously a sample from a store, some people might say that it was thievery, but sometimes it was our only sorce of food. We all got two chips each, I laid down on the cold con-crete looking up at the bright blue sky, suddenly I saw something green from the corner of my eye. I got up and saw something that looked like a hot air ballon. It appeared to be descending. For the second time today, a memory flashed in mind. Isadora floating away, but maybe it wasn't forever...
