Will Sorenson starred at Kate Beckett. He had toyed with the idea of asking her out again for a few days now. He just needed to talk with one person first. Walking up to Richard Castle, he cleared his throat.
Castle looked up and grinned. "What's up Will?"
Sorenson shrugged. "Nothing really. I just wanted to ask you something." Castle blinked and continued to stare at Sorenson waiting for him to continue.
"Do you like Kate?" He blurted out. Castle smirked. He had a feeling this was coming. Nodding his head he stood up and faced Sorenson. Taking a step closer he whispered his answer so only they could hear it.
Sorenson stepped back and studied Castle's face. He couldn't tell if the man in front of him was being serious or just messing with him. "Uh, thanks Castle," Sorenson said before leaving the precinct. A few hours later, Kate Beckett came storming into the breakroom looking for Castle.
"Castle!"
"Hi Kate. You know you shouldn't scowl like that."
"Why did you say 'I don't know' when Will asked if you liked me?"
Castle shrugged. "Because if I said no, I'd be lying." He smiled silently judging her reaction.
