Emily was nervous about today. Today was the day that she was going to confess her love to Hotch. She decided last night that today was the day. She was sick and tired of trying to find guys that would make her forget about him. Nothing could ever make her get over her love for him. She has been in love with him since the first day she set eyes onto him.

As soon as she walked into the bullpen of the BAU she set her stuff down at her desk, took a deep breath and then marched up to Hotch's office. She knew that if she didn't tell him right away that she wouldn't be telling him at all. She needed for him to know how she felt. If it turned out that he didn't feel the same way then she would deal with it. But right now her main concern was making sure that she told him right now. When she got to his office door she took a deep breath and knocked.

Emily closed her eyes when she heard Hotch call out "Come in."

She took a deep breath and opened up his office door. She kept her eyes on the floor as she walked in.

"What can I do for you Prentiss?" Hotch asked as he noticed that she was fidgeting and wasn't even attempting to make eye contact with him.

Emily finally lifted her eyes straight to Hotch. "Hotch I need to tell you something important. I've been lying to myself and to you and from this moment on I can't lie to you or myself anymore."

Hotch started to get concerned because he's never seen Prentiss like this before. "What is it Emily? You know you can tell me anything. What have you been lying to yourself and to me about?"

Hotch watched as Emily took in a couple deep breaths. Now he was really getting concerned. He stood up from his chair and walked around his desk. By this time he totally forgot that he had someone in his office already. All of his thoughts were on his Emily.

"Aaron, I love you. I have loved you since the first time I ever set eyes on you. I've been telling myself that I didn't love you. I just wanted to tell you how I felt so that maybe I could get past this feeling. You don't need to say anything back to me. I know that you don't feel for me the way that I feel for you. I just needed you to know that I love you and that I'm in love with you." Emily said in a rush.

Hotch's eyebrows went up as he looked from Emily to the other person in his office who was also staring at Emily with wide eyes.

Dave stood up and looked at Emily and then Hotch. "Aaron I think you two need to talk. You know where I'll be if you need me."

With that Dave walked past but stopped at Emily and gave her a quick hug before walking out of Hotch's office. He was silently laughing at the shock that was on Emily's face. She hadn't even seen him in Hotch's office. He shook his head as he headed into his office.

Emily stared at Hotch in horror. She couldn't believe that she hadn't seen Dave in Hotch's office. Oh my God how could she have been so blind she wondered.

Hotch saw the horror on Emily's face and bit back the grin he wanted to give. "Emily you don't need to worry about me not feeling the same way. From this moment on I will be truthful about how everything with you. I, too have loved you for a long time. I'm so happy that you have told me that you love me. Dave was in here trying to make me see sense. He knew that I loved you and he also knew that you had feelings for me but he never thought that you would be the one to say it first."

Emily's eyes lit up when she heard Hotch tell her that he loved her. She took one step forward and was in his arms and kissing him senseless.
