Chapter 1: What's Going On?
Who am I?
Where am I, what am I?
Those were the thoughts going through my head.
I couldn't do any thing. I was surrounded in darkness. The only thing I remembered was water and a name.
Yuki.
"Hey guys look!" someone yelled.
But who? I thought. I heard footsteps but they were muffled like walking on sand.
"It's a girl…with…wings?" the same voice said.
"Yeah right Axel" another voice said from farther away.
"Roxas just come here." Axel yelled. I felt something touch my shoulder. It was Axel's hand.
"Hey are you ok?" he asked
"Axel what are you looking at!" a new voice yelled. They were closer than 'Roxas' was.
Why can't I move or talk or anything I thought.
"Hey guys, come help me. This girl just washed up on the shore and I have no Idea who or what she is" Axel yelled. I heard two sets of footsteps coming closer then two separate gasps.
"She's got wings!" one of them yelled.
"I know Demyx" Axel said as he picked me up bridal style. "Riku you and Demyx get home it's almost sunrise if you're parents find you out of bed you'll never hear the end of it"
"Ok but were coming as soon as possible." The boy I presumed to be Riku said.
I heard them walk off and Axel went the other way. I then realized that I was freezing and Axel was very warm. That night I fell asleep in his arms.
"Is she awake yet axel?" Riku asked.
"No nothing I do wakes her up" axel said
I felt some one touch my wings with a wet cloth and it hurt. I whimpered. Riku gasped. "Guys, watch she's waking up." He said pressing the rag to my wing again hard. I screamed and shot up seeing, only for a minute, who they were; one had red hair that spiked up another a blonde mullet and the last with white shoulder length hair that fell in his face, before I wrapped my ebony colored wings around myself hiding from their view.
"Oops" Riku said placing a hand on my wing softly stroking the feathers.
"Axel!" Roxas's voice yelled
"Be there in a minute Roxas!" Axel yelled back. "Guys leave her alone it's obvious she doesn't trust us now."
"Ok" Riku said walking out with Demyx in toe.
"I'll leave you with a pair of clothes, just please don't leave the room." Axel said then left. I heard the door close and I put my wings down. On the edge of the bed there was a sleeveless red and black striped shirt and a pair of black cargo pants. I slipped the ragged dress I was wearing off and put the pants on. Then found a pair of scissors and cut two holes in the back of the shirt then slipped it on over my wings. The pants were too big so I tightened the cord to keep them up. After I was dressed I sat on the window sill and sulked. I waited several hours before I couldn't take it any more. I opened the window and flew to the roof where I stayed watching the sun go down and the moon come up.
"Hey axel where'd she go?" Roxas asked from inside.
"I don't know" Axel replied. I sat up from where I was sitting on the roof and went over to the edge and kneeled over the side so my head was visible along with a ton of ebony hair.
"Hey Axel is that her?" Roxas asked pointing at me.
"Oh there you are!" Axel said walking over to the window sill. "Could you come in?" he asked seeing as I was still outside. I shook my head. After what happened earlier did they actually expect me to be so trusting?
"Ok then you don't have to but could you at least tell us you're name?" Roxas asked.
I finally found my voice. "I'm Yuki." I said.
