Disclaimer: I do not own Hetalia or any of the characters associated with it. But if I did, then Hetalia would have a separate show of it that shows the seriousness of the characters and romance free.
The Kindness of Smiles
Sometimes, when I look at the sky, I think of Grandpa Rome.
I think of all the places he took me to and everything he has taught me.
From listening to natures calls, drawing the details of every picture exactly right, to painting the inside of the people's hearts that are so beautiful, yet so cruel.
I remember this one time, Grandpa took me to a forest that showed no signs of life. But when I looked around me, it was magnificent.
The trees glowed in the sunlight bathing in its energy, the rivers that flowed with life, the animals that ran around playing in the grass that looked so fresh and clean, and finally the air everywhere was so pure, that I'd think if I laid down and slept, I would never wake up again.
And there was grandpa, sitting down of a stump of a tree, looking up with such serene expression.
He looked towards me smiling and said "Don't ever forget the happiness that is still left in the world. The world was meant to be beautiful and peaceful. So keep on smiling so others will never forget what we all had. Teach that to Romano so you both would have the knowledge of what this all is".
And after all that has happened in the world so far, I could never forget.
I stayed true to grandpas words after he had died, and was taken away to live with Austria.
Even after Holy Rome, and even after the two wars, I smiled and smiled so everyone could at least not feel the pain their people has felt.
Phew! Not really. I wrote this pretty quickly with me fixing and changing some words to fit the story. Hopefully, the story is good and you all like it! So please review and favorite and/or follow! :D
