I woke to the sun shining through the window of my house.
I stretched and then jumped up on the counter and yawned wearily.
Suddenly...a flicker of hope burned in my chest. "Tallstar..." i whispered longingly while looking out the window, watching for him. Tallstar had taught me many things of the clans, and though i know i want nothing more than to be near him for the rest of my life... I don't belong out there.
My place is here, with my twolegs. I can't help but feel pain and guilt whilst i lay with Quince on some nights.
How can I be loyal to my mate when I'm in love with...a TOM?
It's wrong, i know. It's not normal. I shouldn't be, but i am.
But he hasn't come to see me in quite some time...
'Oh, Tallstar..where did you go?'
