Hey all! I've joined a forum! It's called the Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry, and I am a Ravenclaw! This is for Assignment 7, the Geography class. I choose the Bandersnatch task, which is to write a story taking place in the forest. Let's see how this turns out!

Hermione stared around as she wondered where in the world she had Apparated them to. It seemed familiar, but why should it? It was just a bit of forest like every other, what stood out about it to her? There were trees, a thick covering of dead leaves that told her it was late autumn, and a slow winding river just out of sight. Nothing was of consequence, or so it immediately seemed.

She looked towards the tent, where she had finally gotten that stupid necklace off of Harry and now kept it in her back pocket. She had no idea when he might wake up, and hoped it would be soon. Contrary to belief, she didn't like to be alone.

Finally, she stared at the river, and it clicked for her. The Forest of Dean, she thought, and she wanted to sob at the surfacing memories. It had been several summers ago now that she had come to these woods with her parents for a two weeks long camping trip. It was as authentic as possible; they gathered fresh wood from the woods, cooked everything over the fire, and slept in a tent, not a camper. It was the best two weeks she could remember with her parents…

But they would not unless she succeeded with helping Harry. Until then, it was too risky for them to remember her. They would be caught, questioned, and eventually killed to find out information about her and Harry. It was a cruel fact that her parents were in Australia with no memories of their eighteen year old daughter. It was even crueler that that was probably the best place for them to be right now. It was for their protection.

She knew it was right, but, staring at the forest, she hated it. Then again, there were lots of things to hate nowadays. She had almost gotten used to the feeling.
