Beaten, bruised, and blood on the side of a girl's mouth. Yup, she was beaten for trying to steal some food from a store. The owner was out, but he came back before he saw her stealing his expensive product off the shelves. Thus, she was beaten for it and the food was taken away.

As she lies on the ground, her stomach growls. She grunts as she look at your surroundings, and see that you are the only one in the street of North Rukongai. "It's probably because it is early in the morning," she thought as she sighs and tries to sit up.

As she wipes the blood from the side of her mouth, she walks back to an abandoned house where the rest of the kids are. "The kids will probably be disappointed that I wasn't able to get them a good meal," she thought as she walks through alleyways to take a shortcut to the abandoned house.

When she arrives nearby the abandoned house hidden from the people of North Rukongai and soul reapers, she sees a crowd of people surrounding something.

As she gets closer to the crowd, she starts feeling the pressure like gravity pressing down on her entire body as she got through the crowd and closer to what the crowd is seeing. When she sees the soul reapers, she felt so light-headed that she happened to faint in front of them.

As she came to from fainting, she hears a male voice calling out. "Mm…?" She says as she rubs her eyes and slowly opening them.

As she fully opens her eyes, she sees a blond hair man with his hair covering his left eye and looking with a concerned expression. "Ah, I'm sorry…" She said calmly as she smiles at him.

"Don't be sorry, it's my fault…" The blond haired man says to her. "How is it your fault?" She asks him as she tries to sit up with him helping her out.

Then, her stomach growls when she sits up. She blushes in embarrassment from her stomach growling in front of a soul reaper. As she sees him shuffling with his shihakusho, he takes out a bamboo wrap from his shihakusho. She sees him unwrap the bamboo wrap and three rice balls appear inside the bamboo wrap.

As she looks up questioning whether she can have them, he smiles and nods his head. As she takes one rice ball and eats it, her face brightens up and touches her cheek as she eats the rice ball. "Delicious!" She says as she politely eats the rice ball.

When he smiles a little, her heart beats faster as she blushes at the sight of him smiling at you. As she stares at him while she's eating, she stops eating the rice ball as a thought runs through her head.

"I should save this for the others," she thought, and put the eaten rice ball into the bamboo wrap to tie it back up. As he sees her tie the rice balls back in the wrap, he frowns and asks, "Why are you wrapping up the rice ball you ate with the rest?"

As she looks up at the blond haired man, she says, "I want to save the rest of this food." He furrows his eyebrow and asks, "Is that all? What's your reason for saving the rice balls?"

As she looks down at the bamboo wrap on her lap and blushes, you say, "I want to eat later. That's my reason for saving them." Then, her stomach growls again.

As she blushes a darker shade of red from her stomach growling again, she glances up at him to see if he's laughing at her. Fortunately, he wasn't and sending her a reassuring smile.

"It's alright, you can save the food for later. I'm sorry about earlier, my spiritual pressure was probably too strong from getting too close to you and hunger." He says as he gets up and reaches out his hand to her.

As she politely place her hand on his palm, he grips her hand lightly and pulls her up as she holds the bamboo wrap in her other hand.

"What's your name?" She blurts out as she stands up. When she realizes what she said, she blushes and turns her face away from him to cover her blush as she takes away her hand from his.

As her face is turned from him, she hears him chuckle and say, "Izuru. Izuru Kira."

She turns her face to him and stare at him in shock, but quickly gain her composure after a few minutes. "I'm Nagisa, it's nice to meet you." She says as she reaches out her hand to shake his. As he smiles at her, he reaches his hand out and shakes hers.

As he lets go after shaking hands with her, he says, "I hope we meet again." She stares at him as he waves goodbye as he leaves the area and goes back to the Seireitei.

"I hope so too…" She whispers as she looks down and clench her fists. As she looks up in the direction he went with determination in her eyes, she thought, "I'll become a soul reaper that way I can be right beside him…!"

As she walks away to head back to the others in the abandoned house, she turns her back to Izuru as he turns his back too.
