Author's Note: Hi everyone. I wrote this little drabble for an English Assignment. We had to imagine a distopien enviroment in the future. "A distopeien prediction for the future of our world" as my teacher called it. While we were meant to imagine and set the story in a real location on earth or a compleatly made up one (using our own imagination), I, being the Wicked fan that I am, managed to let her imagination set the story in Kiamo Ko. I kind of liked what came out, and so did my teacher. And even though this was enough for class, and as far as my teacher is concerned it is finished, I would like to continue. But I don't know where to go from here. So if you like this or have a few ideas, then please let me know. I really need them help! Thanks.
By the way, the setting is a slight mix-'n'-match of the Novel, Musical and my artisitic licence.
After they had left, and they were long gone by now, she still stood in front of those forbidding doors. This was the last place where snow still fell, where the clouds occasionally opened up and where flowers still grew. The black walls of the castle towered above her & blended into the mountains of the Kells.
Little had touched this place, for the government had cornered off this part of the land long ago, giving it her control. Few came to these parts for a great fear of her was instilled into the people ar a young age. But this place was all she had, her only hope to escape her previous life. So now she was here, read to meet her and to plead her case.
As the sun's light began to fade into the darkness of night, she still remained in front of those doors. She could not being herself to ring the calling bell. As she contemplated leaving and resign herself to a life of misery, the grand doors opened, revealing a candle lit hall and a winged monkey.
"She will see you know." It said.
And there you go. My little drabble. So if you have any ideas, then please let me know! I would love to see where this goes, but I need help to get there.
